Exhibition of paintings by Caroline Matthews at ISoA
Showing in the ISoA gallery in Barnet at the moment is a stunning exhibition of contemporary woodland scenes by ISoA artist Caroline Matthews. Caroline’s paintings are predominantly about colour and mark making, in particular the behaviour of colours when placed alongside each other; creating both harmonies and reactions.
Caroline is clearly influenced by the landscapes of Cezanne, but also references Hitchens, Monet and Tom Thompson, a member of the Canadian Group of Seven.
Caroline’s exhibition runs until Tuesday 13th November and is open to non members of the school by appointment. Most works are for sale and prints are available.
