Pastels workshop next Wednesday
Insight School of Art will be closed on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th June for the Bank Holiday, but open again next Wednesday with a really interesting pastels workshop looking at using the local environment to make artwork from. This workshop is suitable for all adults, including beginners, and children over 14 years old. Book today to guarantee your place.
Artists have always looked to the environment around them to collect information to inspire their art. Students who attend this pastels workshop with Di Roberts will start the day sketching from direct observation to investigate their own environment and to discover what interests them visually. These drawings will then be used to compose a suburban scene using chalk pastels throughout the rest of the day.
The second half of term will start again on Monday 11th June.
