With guidance, support and inspiration from conceptual artist Rob Verrill, participants will be challenged to use their experience, imagination, skill and inventiveness to transform a wealth of otherwise unwanted, unloved and bin-bound everyday objects and materials into unexpected, magical and intriguing art. Taking inspiration from the work of other artists and using a wide range of making techniques, participants will be stretched and encouraged to develop their own exciting ideas, think laterally and make creative connections in two and three dimensions.

"I attended Rob’s - Turning the Everyday into the Extraordinary course last year and I can honestly say it was one of the most imaginative, challenging and exciting courses I have ever been on. It really opened my eyes to different ways of thinking and using materials, and I left on a complete creative high. Rob is a great facilitator and has the most fantastic collection of materials. If you are looking to jump start your creativity this year don’t miss it!" - Sarah D'Souza

Students will have access to a wide range of materials in the studio, to make two and three dimensional work, installations or even a performance!

This workshop is suitable for anyone looking to be part of a challenging, creative day, with a desire to develop their conceptual skills and add more meaning to their artwork.
