Teacher Profiles
Paul Regan - Director
Paul founded the Insight
School of Art in 2001 having successfully managed secondary
school art departments in London and abroad. As well as
directing the school, he mentors Level 4 and MaSS artists, and
teaches classes in all mediums. He has had work shown in a
number of galleries, most recently at the artsdepot open (winner
2009), 21st Century Watercolour (Bankside Gallery) and
shortlisted for the Cork Street Open.
Michael Kirkbride - Teacher
Michael is a member of the New English Art Club who exhibit at the Mall Galleries and has had work selected for the Royal Academy Summer Show on a number of occasions. His paintings are about people, objects, styling and the subtle nuance of gesture. He is an experienced teacher, most recently having taught drawing at the London Collage of Fashion.
Di Roberts - Teacher
Di has been teaching adults at the Insight School of Art
since 2002, having previously had a very successful career
working in secondary schools. She teaches watercolour, acrylics
and life drawing, and is responsibility for our popular chalk
pastel workshop programme. As an artist Di specialises in portraiture and
pastels.
Rob Verrill - Teacher
As well as being
responsible for the art education of our 6-12 year olds, Rob
also teaches at Haberdashers Aske's School for Girls (Juniors).
He is an excellent watercolourist
who
has exhibited at the Mall galleries with the Royal Institute of
Painters in Watercolours (2010 and 2011) and the ING Discerning
Eye exhibition (2011).
Karen Walters - Teacher
Karen has responsibility
for our classes in St Albans. She gained a degree in Fine Art
from the University of Humberside (where she was awarded the
Dean's prize for Endeavour in the field of Fine Art), and a PGCE
teaching qualification from the Institute of Education.
Previously Karen had worked in secondary, further and adult
education for ten years. As an artist she specialises in portraiture.
