More ISoA exhibitions to see

Hello everyone,

After the quiet summer break, the exhibition calendar in September and October gets a lot busier. Blockbuster shows open at the major galleries and some of the best art fairs are held in London, like Frieze in Regents Park and the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea.

In our post last week, we told you about some of the exhibitions our artists are having. We’ve since heard about more shows we think you would enjoy seeing:

Sarah Adams, who attends our classes on Tuesday evenings is returning to the Morpeth Arms “Spying Room” in Millbank SW1 4RW, to exhibit her latest cityscapes and some new costal scenes. The exhibition runs for one night only at 6pm on Thursday 20th October. Everyone is welcome.

Joanne Gilbert, who attends our Studio Friday sessions will be exhibiting at the Espacio Gallery, 159 Bethnal Green Road, E2 7DG, as part of the group show ‘Edge of Ordinary 5’ (30th August – 11th September). Once again, you are all invited to the Private View, which is this Thursday from 6-10pm.

Soon after Jo’s exhibition at the Espacio Gallery, two more of our Studio Friday artists; Margaret Crutchley and Raina Goran, will be exhibiting at the same venue in an group show entitled ‘Land Marks’ (13th – 18th September). Raina will then be having her own solo show at the Radlett Centre for the whole of October.

Dave Nelson, whose exhibitions we told you about last week, has asked us to remind you that as part of his Open Studios, he is hosting an Artists Evening on Wednesday 14th September from 6-9pm at his house in St. Albans; 45 Lancaster Road. If you’re thinking of doing an Open Studio, and want to chat to Dave about his experiences, this will be a great opportunity.

We’ll post all the flyers at the bottom of this newsletter so you can put all the dates straight onto your calendar.

We are extremely proud of our exhibiting artists and students and look forward to seeing all of their shows. We hope you will be able to get to the see their work too. We’d love you to email us to let us know what you think if you do visit and we can pass your thoughts onto each artist.
