Sarah Adams Virtual Exhibition

Posted on by Paul Regan

Insight’s Sarah Adams solo exhibition has gone online. It was to be held at Ye Old Mitre, a traditional London pub in the heart of the city, but as with so many events, it didn’t happen due to Coronavirus closures.

Sarah has made a really nice film of her work which you can see here.

Sarah says that ‘London never ceases to inspire and captivate, and whilst the city constantly seems to be under development and regeneration, I continue not to be distracted by the noise, and depicts London in a calming, peaceful, tranquil way’.

Painting instantly recognisable views of London, Sarah presents her unique interpretation of the city skyline. She focuses on a really creamy, controlled colour palette of acrylics, always anchored with white, applying the paint in thick buttery brush marks.

New this year is her ‘Dinky London Collection’. Small, nugget size depictions of London, creating a ‘postcard from the city’ vibe on a small, mini block canvas. These scale also extends to ‘postcards from the beach’ – an edited edition of views of the beautiful Welsh coastline.
