Rob Verrill at Wimbledon College of Art
Between June 14th and 22nd, Insight teacher Rob Verrill will be exhibiting at the MA Fine Art Post Graduate Degree Show in Wimbledon. This exhibition is the finale of the two year MA Fine Art course Rob has been attending.
At the PV on the evening of the 13th June, Rob will be giving a live performance in connection with his work:
‘In this flashy, slick, social media-driven age it is the humble corrugated cardboard box that Rob Verrill elevates to stardom. In live performances of absurdity this humble packaging material, without which our high-tech world would not function, is both lovingly and brutally transported via a convoluted, labyrinthine pantomime back to where it started. He contrasts this with short videos of those small events, chance occurrences and accidents where we momentarily lose control. The direction and momentum of life is disrupted almost imperceptibly but we change direction forever’.
