Our clever teachers!
I’m delighted to report that ISoA teacher Michael Kirkbride has had this painting accepted by the Royal Academy for their Summer Show. It’s hanging in between John Bellany and Anthony Green which is very impressive. The exhibition opens on the 10th June and you don’t need me to tell you that it’s a must for everyone to visit this summer.
Mill Park in Ely, Cardiff recently contacted ISoA teacher and generally brilliant designer Lara Sparey about a problem they were having with litter coming into their park through the fence. Lara worked closely with the local community there to produce a piece of public art to solve the problem. It’s fantastic isn’t it?
You can see some of Lara’s work closer to home as she was the designer of the beautiful school gates at East Barnet and Hendon Schools.
We’re so lucky to have such clever teachers at the school who are also practising artists and designers!
