New painting class for adults
Painting Advice and Guidance is our new art class starting in January on Monday mornings. Experienced artist and teacher Rob Verrill will be helping students to improve their paintings by encouraging a thorough planning process and offering technical painting support throughout the term.
During the first two weeks of term, Rob will be helping students make their own decisions about subject matter, composition and style, as well as helping with the selection of materials, colour palette and technique. Students will also be advised about the work of other artists who work in a similar way to themselves.
The majority of the term will be devoted to supporting students to make one or more successful paintings. Rob is a successful practicing artist and experienced teacher. As the term progresses he will on occasions be painting alongside students and will encourage discussion about his own working methods and practice.
