New Course: Drawing for Beginners

Posted on by Paul Regan

This afternoon, Michael Kirkbride NEAC and I put the finishing touches to the plan for his new ‘Drawing for Beginners’ course next term. It was really interesting deciding on the most important things to teach beginners about drawing; which materials, techniques and subjects, and deciding on the most interesting ways to teach them too.

We’re excited to have planned a term that starts with line and tone exercises, working from still life with a pencil, which leads on to working with a wide range of dry media and understanding different ways to use them to draw land and townscapes, perspective, faces and people.

This course will start on Thursday 12th September (1.30pm-3.30pm) and will run for 12 weeks. Places are limited to 16 and can be booked online here.
