New artwork online

The online gallery has just been updated and I think it’s better than ever. A record 108 adult students asked for their work to be photographed at the end of term (okay, I know some of you had your arm twisted but have a look at how good they look!). The children’s gallery has two new sets of work on show; the 13 – 17 year olds who spent the last three weeks of term producing acrylic and oil paintings on canvas on the theme of people, and the 6-13 year olds who made work on the theme of ‘The view from my window’, using acrylics on canvas.

By the end of next term I’ll make sure I get some Level 4 work in the gallery too. However, if you’ve enrolled for the new term you’ll get a taster on the walls downstairs at Lancaster Road from May 17th; I think you will like what you see!

For me, looking at the gallery at the end of each term is the perfect way to reflect on the term, and it fills me with pride. Thank you to everyone who is a part of the school; all students and all staff.
