More success for artists from Insight School of Art
The final selection of work to be hung at this year’s Cork Street Open was announced this morning and I’m delighted to announce that Insight School of Art’s MaSS artists Richard Greaves and Clive Patterson, along with myself, have successfully made it to the walls.
Helen Ryan, who was also shortlisted, may still have her work hung too as she’s been informed that her paintings are on standby.
This success is the latest in a continual roll of honours for MaSS artists mentored at Insight School of Art in 2012. If you’re a practising artist who’d benefit from being included in next year’s mentoring programme, you can register your interested by email now in preparation for when we publish more information on September 1st.
The Cork Street Open is run by Kathryn Roberts who, in 2007 decided to ‘provide an opportunity for both emerging and establish artists to exhibit and sell their work while benefiting a different charity each year’. It’s a really good quality exhibition of all forms of visual art and located on the most prestigious street for Fine Art in London.
We hope you will be able to visit the exhibition and let us know what you think of the work. It runs from August 23rd – 31st (10am – 6pm daily and until 8pm on Thursday and Friday). Maybe you will enter work next year?
If you do visit, make sure that you plan to see some other exhibitions around Cork Street at the same time. I use this website to check what’s on in the area.
An interesting article about Cork Street is featured in today’s Guardian.
I hope you enjoy the show.
