Exhibitions involving Insight teachers

Posted on by Paul Regan

It’s been a busy few months for Insight teachers recently, not only planning and delivering amazing lessons to their classes, but also showing their own artwork in a number of London exhibitions.

Following on from successful appearances at Panter and Hall gallery and the London Art Fair, Mick Kirkbride NEAC is now showing at the Mall Galleries with the New English Art Club, before he has his solo show; ‘Home and Away’, at Burgh House in Hampstead. Mick teaches Watercolour at Insight on Tuesday mornings, Life drawing on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday evenings and Portraiture on Thursday evenings.

Having asked for works to be submitted on the theme of ‘Climate’, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition has now opened its doors to reveal their selection. Included in the exhibition is the Collograpgh print; ‘Weightless‘, by Insight teacher Lara Sparey. Lara holds Print Club on Tuesdays evenings and painting classes throughout Wednesdays.

It’s a busy time for Insight teacher and Studio Manager Celestine Thomas too. Having recently been part of Significant Other at Art Bypass Gallery, she is now showing in Unmute, with the Royal Society of Scottish Artists, before a two person show, ‘Differing Parallels‘, here, at Insight School of Art with Jenna Waldren.

Congratulations and good luck to each of them. They make us very proud to be Insight!
