Exhibitions to inspire your young artists of the future.

Big blockbuster exhibitions of historical art aren’t always the ones that will best inspire your young artists of the future. If you are planning to take your (secondary school age) child to a gallery in the next few weeks you might like to investigate some of the following…… and they are all free!

Champagne Life and the Saatchi Gallery is an exhibition of contemporary art, all by women artists.

The White Cube in Bermondsey’s Tightrope Walk shows how ‘representational painting became redefined over the past century’.

The Threadneedle Prize at the Mall Galleries from the 3rd of February is a great contemporary painting and sculpture open submission exhibition (I have a painting on show here – sorry for the plug 🙂

Peter Blake is showing lots of his recent portraits at Waddington Custot.

Finally, Michael Craig Martin at the Serpentine Gallery. He also has an excellent book out, all about being an artist.

All of these exhibitions show art ‘of today’ and should inspire your future artists. If you take them, please email to let me know how you get on.

All the best
Paul Regan
