Cork Street Open

Posted on by Paul Regan

Do you feel your work should be hanging in a major London gallery but you’re not well  known enough yet to get your foot in the door? If you do, then the Cork Street Open might be the best place for you to start.

Apart from the prestige of having your work shown on possibly the best known road in London for independent galleries, and the possibility of someone buying it, there are also a number of cash prizes including a £2500 first prize.

As with entering all open competitions it’s very important that you carefully read the entry requirements as getting one aspect wrong usually means your work won’t be considered, but here is the most important information:

1.The deadline for entering work is June 12th.
2.Entries for the first round of judging are made by sending a photograph of your work by email or post with your application form and fee.
3. Work that gets through the first round should be delivered to the gallery for the second round of judging.
4. There is a young persons award (under 22 years old)
5. The exhibition runs from August 4th to the 12th.

Insight School of Art students can get 10% off their submission fee by picking up a flyer from the school.
