Artist Network Photography Day

Posted on by Paul Regan

As part of ISoA’s Artist Network, we plan ‘Short, quick fire, creative workshops…. encouraging the development of ideas and creative problem solving’. Last Friday was a perfect example of this when the group got together for a photography day. The morning was spent at the fantastic Photographers’ Gallery with a tour and workshop, and in the afternoon all the artists took part in a Street Photography challenge in and around Soho. They were only given two and a half hours to take photos and get their prints made before getting back together to present their images to the rest of the group.

The resulting photographs (below, unedited) go to show how, with a good artistic eye, you can find excellent shots if you look hard enough. Congratulations to everyone who took part. It was a fantastic day.

Next month’s Artist Network on April 5th is being held back at ISoA, when Michael Kirkbride NEAC will be presenting a full day of drawing challenges.

Practising artists interested in joining the Artist Network should contact the school for more information.
