An Introduction to Egg Tempera

Insight teacher Michael Kirkbride NEAC will be holding a special one off 'Introduction to Egg Tempera’ Sunday Workshop the 2nd of December 2018. Each student will be shown how to mix coloured pigment with egg yolk to make tempera paint, then guided through the tempera painting process to produce a still life on board.

Egg Tempera was the primary method of painting before oil painting was invented in the 1500s and was used by artists such as Botticelli and Piero della Francesca.

Mick Kirkbride studied at the Royal Academy of Arts and is a member of the New English Art Club.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and more advanced painters.

All materials are included in the price of the class.

Maximum class size for this workshop is 16.

Adults (16+) only however, children 13+ may attend when accompanied by a participating adult.
