The Figure in Focus

10.15am-4pm each day
Day 1:
The Expressionist Figure: Drawing and painting exercises, working from a model, aimed at developing each student’s ability to make expressive work.
Day 2:
Re-staging Hogarth: Working from a stage set with two models, students will develop their own contemporary response to a Hogarth scene.
Day 3:
Working large: Making big work from a model, mostly focusing on monochrome painting, drawing and collage.
Days 4 and 5:
Developing a personalised response. Students will be supported to make their own artwork in response to the activities earlier in the week.
