This figure and portrait themed workshop will take place over two mornings. Students will be encouraged to use a variety of materials and techniques to celebrate the achievements of people who are important to them, as well as people invented using their imagination.

Students will produce experimental work during the first morning session, then design and make a personal work on canvas to take home during the second session.

Students will be introduced to the work of contemporary artists working around this theme, including Lubaina Himid, Michael Armitage and Emma Fineman.

All materials provided.

Please bring your own drinks and snacks (no nut products).

Maximum class size for this workshop is 14.
