ISoA teacher Mick Kirkbride’s Ukulele
This is such a great idea! Mick Rooney RA has gathered together 30 of his artist friends, including Insight teacher Michael Kirkbride, to paint an artwork on a Ukulele which will then be played by the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. The performance will be at the The Jazz Café on September 12th, after which, all of the Ukulele’s will be auctioned off to raise money for The Hepatitis C Trust.
The 30 ukuleles have been painted by luminary artists such as Bill Jacklyn RA, Allen Jones RA, Cathie Pilkington RA, Ramiro Fernandes Saus, PJ Crook, Norman Ackroyd CBE RA and many more.
