Congratulations to Insight teacher Lara Sparey who was commissioned by Barnet Council to design this amazing memorial screen for Sir Nicholas Winton.

Sir Nicholas Winton MBE, was a British humanitarian who organised the rescue of 669 children, most of them Jewish, from Czechoslovakia on the eve of the Second World War.

Lara designed the screen, showing children at play, to celebrate the young lives that were saved by actions of this unassuming hero.

Waterjet cut in Corten steel, the screen and two decorative benches will be installed at Princes Park, Golders Green this April.
