ISoA artist Joanna Gilbert takes part in live painting event

Artist Joanna Gilbert was one of fifteen artists selected to take part in a live art event at Old Spitalfields Market on 12th May 2017.
Working within the given theme; ‘Heart of the East End’, Joanna made a painting that referenced some of the graffiti she had seen in the area. The meter square mixed media piece, will now be auctioned off by Hearts in Harmony to raise money for heart research at Great Ormond St Hospital.
Being interviewed live on Hoxton Radio, Joanna said that “It was such an enjoyable experience and I loved talking about the creative process with passers-by.”
Joanna, who has been attending our Studio Friday mentoring sessions for about two years now, will be studying at Chelsea from September on their MA Fine Art course. We wish you all the best Joanna. Congratulations and a huge thank you for being such an amazing person to work with.
