Insight Aritst Alice Atashkar selected for Artsdepot Open
Congratulations to Insight artist Alice Gavin Atashkar who has been selected to exhibit at this years Artsdepot Open at the Artsdepot in North Finchley.
Alice says that ‘Leaving a difficult life in hope of a new one is as old as the sea. However, in the last few years there has been a marked increase in both migrants and refugees arriving by boat into Europe. My recent work looks at the sea and those who have lost their lives at sea; migrants (those wishing to find a better life elsewhere) or refugees (those who cannot return home due to political conflict or persecution).’
