Objects and Interiors with Eleanor Langton

  • 7th-8th August
  • 10am-3.30pm each day
  • Award winning artist, qualified teacher and lover of all things vintage, Eleanor Langton will be teaching children how she creates her amazing still lives and interior paintings. This two day workshop will start with sketching objects and interiors, experimenting with colour and playing with pattern and texture, before designing an acrylic painting that will be ready for framing by the end of day two.

Throughout the two day workshop, Eleanor will discuss her own work and practice, introduce the work of artists who have inspired her and demonstrate each stage of her working process.

Eleanor recently left full time teaching to focus on her career as an artist. This year she was interviewed by Artist magazine and Cass Art, having won the Artist Award at the Royal Watercolour Society’s Contemporary Watercolour exhibition at the Bankside Gallery. She is currently exhibiting as part of the prestigious Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize.

Participants are encouraged to study Eleanor’s work on her website before attending the workshops and to bring in objects that are personal to them for inclusion in their own artwork. Other objects will be available should they be needed.

Eleanor will have the support of two additional members of staff.

All material included. Just bring lunch and a drink.

  • Price: £90 for the two days.

  • Limited to 14 participants
