The Insight School of Art Level 4 course is for skilled amateur painters who are interested in becoming professional practicing artists.

- Practical workshops: Every Friday during term time (10.30am – 4pm)
(All students / Time divided between upper studio and locations in London)
- Independent studio days: One other day each week* during term time (10am – 3pm)
(One group of four students each day / Lower studio)
*Once allocated, each student’s independent studio day will be on the same day each week throughout the year. Every student will have access to the lower studio until 9pm during term time and 3pm during most weeks of the holidays on their allocated day. Applicants should indicate on their application form any days that are unsuitable.
What you can expect to achieve on this course:
- The skills, knowledge and confidence to launch yourself professionally as a practicing artist.
- A new body of work to exhibit at the end of the course, created through the development of your own ideas.

What the course will consist of:
- A thoroughly planned syllabus consisting of practical workshops each Friday, covering all aspects of working as an exhibiting artist in London and a further studio day each week to develop artwork within smaller independent groups.
- A proactive, creative environment where students are committed to developing themselves as artists and sharing experiences with each other.
- Expert advice from experienced teachers and visiting tutors who are successful in their fields and committed to sharing their knowledge.
Students applying for this course should:
- be seriously interested in the possibility of launching themselves as professional practicing artists.
- be looking for an exciting new challenge for 2011, have a passion for making art and be willing to work hard for success.
- be available on all Fridays during term time in 2011 and a further allocated day throughout the year.
- thrive when working as a part of a group.
- have a competent understanding of computers, the internet and email.
How to apply:
- Applicants are expected to layout of their application and email it to info@insight-art.co.uk by the 1st October 2010 at the latest, marked for the attention of Paul Regan. No application forms will be provided by us.
- Applicants will be informed whether they have been selected for the course before October 15th. Successful applicants must pay a £650 deposit by cheque or debit card within one week of this date to confirm their place. The balance payment of £1000 is required before December 15th.
- If for any reason you are not able to complete the course we will not be able to refund any of your deposit or balance payment unless a replacement student is found. The cost of running the course is based on sixteen students attending.
- Applicants will be judged on the content and clarity of their applications.
